Victory or Defeat
Every victory is important, no matter how small.
Because every victory is not a loss.
When it seems that the world is against you, remember to relish each and every victory.
--- ethereal wisdom and quixotic insight ---
Every victory is important, no matter how small.
Because every victory is not a loss.
Trustest thyself only in the Duhn KuThis passage challenges The Duhn Ku Master in many ways.
And thou shalt not by another be betrayed.
From the Original King James Version of the Duhn Ku
Every Duhn Ku Master knows there is a right tool for every job. And then there is the tool you happen to have.
Knowledge is the treasure, but the Duhn Ku is the treasurer of the Duhn Ku Master. In saying that "Knowledge is the treaure" it is almost certain that Lao Tzu Penn was implying that to know the Duhn Ku is the treasure. It would be known that this is precisely what he meant if it were transcribed as, "Knowledge of the Duhn Ku is the treasure, but the Duhn Ku is the treasurer of the Duhn Ku master."
Lao Tzu Penn
What the eye sees disappears with a blink, or a wandering puff of breath. Where there was light, the eye denied sees the Duhn Ku.It has been many long years since the last official posting of the Duhn Ku.
No man's knowledge here can go beyond his experience except by way of the Duhn Ku.Though we have not experienced it, thanks to the Duhn Ku, we know that what Lao-Tzu John Locke was trying to say in this instance is this: By way of the Duhn Ku, a Duhn Ku Master has knowledge here that can go beyond his experience.
Lao-Tzu John Locke, probably during the 17th century
When I was a child I spoke as a child I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a Duhn Ku Master nothing changed. Some lesser ways of thinking might direct one to grow up and to see the world in a more serious light and to cast aside the fantasies and pursuits in happiness of childhood.
We mix and bake dough,We are reminded from time to time in the Duhn Ku that Lao Tzu Jones was a man and subject to the temptations of the flesh.
but it is the hole that makes it a donut.
The Master sees this and eats the donut.
The moment you enter a lineSuch unfathomable wisdom could only have come from one place. If you don't know the answer, you'll have to wait your turn.
you simultaneously become at the end of the line.
The Master waits only for the Duhn Ku.
In this line he is first and last.
Thus, he is whole.
There is a time to linger and a time to depart. Here we have another example of Lao Tzu Jones speaking through a disciple, Lao Tzu Smith. Smith, however, is quite a uniquely different character than Williams. For starters, Smith's real name is known to be Paul, not John. Also of curious note, Smith adopted his own time keeping based on the teachings of Lao Tzu Jones as is evidenced by "Anno Duhn/ The Year of the Duhn". What he was getting at has escaped all known Duhn Ku Masters as well. It is believed that he wrote this passage while still devising the new time keeping method, thus the circa.
The Duhn Ku is what tells you when to leave a party.
Only a fool would ignore this.
The wise man hears the Duhn Ku
and leaves promptly.
Lao-Tzu Smith, circa 114 A.D. (Anno Duhn/The Year of the Duhn)
The ways of the Duhn Ku often pass unnoticed. Here we are reminded of how closely the Tao te Ching is modeled after the Duhn Ku. Probably the greatest error on behalf of Lao Tzu is that he called it the Tao te Ching and not the Duhn Ku.
So soft is its voice, its appearence too ordinary.
The Master trains his eyes and ears to the subtleties.
He trusts that the Duhn Ku will provide.
Out of the depths of eternal slack rises the Duhn Ku.This says a mouthful in regards to the nature of Duhn Ku Masters.
When a Duhn Ku master speaks to another Duhn Ku master it is as if he is speaking to himself. This is one instance in the Duhn Ku where we can be nearly ceratin that it was Jones speaking through a disciple. Yet, at the same time he was speaking to himself. Which is exactly what all other Duhn Ku Masters have reported as well. The date given is exact but the century has yet to be established.

The Duhn Ku is often likened to air. Here Lao Tzu Jones likens the Duhn Ku to the life giving qualities of air and the natural act of breathing. Jones could obviously see with more than his eyes.
Invisible yet always present,
Thin yet life supporting.
Therefore, inhale deeply of the Duhn Ku
allowing it passage within.
The Superior man lives life in harmony with the Duhn Ku. The Moderate man knows not of the Duhn Ku. The Foolish man believes in the Duhn Ku, yet the Duhn Ku knows him not. Therefore, it always shall be the Duhn Ku.We are uncertain of exactly who Lao Tzu Williams is. The only reference we have is from a piece of scroll which had "The Duhn-told Ku" inscribed on the vase which contained it. It is suspected that he is one of Jones' disciples speaking on behalf of The Great Mystic. This suspicion is re-enforced as we do know that Lao Tsu Williams' real name was John.
Literal translation, Lao Tsu Williams "The Duhn-told Ku" ~95 A.D.
"It has been said that if one loves the Duhn Ku with all of one's heart, the Duhn Ku will bring joy and harmony into the home space.
But if one does not treat the Duhn Ku with respect, life basically goes on the same.
This is the true enigma of the Duhn Ku"
Literal translation, Lao-tsu Jones, 104 AD
This is one of the first discovered phrases penned by The Great Mystic, Lao Tzu Jones. It is profound in its profoundness.
Lao Tzu Jones himself is an enigma in his own right. His works have been likened to the Tao te Ching, written by the ancient Chinese philosopher known simply as Lao Tzu. Similarily, the actual existence of Jones is, at times, as questionable as Lao Tzu's. Are they mystic characters of fable, or wise men with a postcard of the big picture? We may never know.
Often dates or circas are given along with the passages of the Duhn Ku. It is unclear what these are intended to represent. First, it is not known exactly when Jones may have walked this earth. Second, the years spanned are in the range of 2000 years. Could it be that Lao Tzu Jones found the key to immortality in the teachings of the Duhn Ku? Or does Jones speak through his disciples, who, so filled with his spirit, sign his name and the date it was received? Or something else entirely beyond our comprehension?
We who have taken it upon ourselves to become Duhn Ku Masters realize that such questions are frivolous. Jones communes with us often. May the following links bring you into unity with the Duhn Ku.
